Default i got a question...

[B]my buddy claims that he is not the only one that ''back hands'' 4th gear does any one else shift that way...thanks

ive heard of it before. some people do it that way, and they claim it keeps them from accidentally getting 2nd instead.

ive tried it, but it makes my shifts slower, and ive never really had a prob shifting normally, so i just shift normally.

i think whats more important is the direction that you pull the shifter in. once youve got that down, then shift whichever way you can faster.

I'll occasionally flip my hand upside-down when shifting to fourth.

It just feels better for some reason.......

i shift f-bodies regular and c5's backhanded

i have a pistol grip as well, and it makes backhanding 4-5 damn near impossible. definitely not with any speed. 3-4 and 5-6 i can see.
