Although that was funny as hell, I find it hard to believe he was cleared of any wrong-doing although she did get a settlement out of the incident. Now if a normal joe schmo did that after giving her a "20" they would have been arrested and sent to jail not "cleared of any wrong-doing".

And for the record I am neutral on the cop situation, there are good and bad end of story.

seriously you've been trying to back the cops up from what I read. Filing a complaint is a good idea because the station doesn't get it goes to internal affairs. I swear you seem like a cop yourself. I've had situations like this and worse multiple times. I used to respect cops but now I just think that most of them are ******* pussies and ******** hiding behind a gun and badge. If you meet one in mexico he'll most likely act like a ******* *****.

This would be my advice too. That's harrassment.

During a contact there's no right to privacy, you can record them and they can record you (which most of them do). It's all documentary evidence that must be reciprocated by both parties if it goes to court.

First I would file a complaint at the police department. Since your town isnt that large I would talk to a city councile person or even the mayor. See if any family or friends of your family know one. If the chief gets an ear full from one of them trust me the chief will pass it down the chain. Your talk with the councile member should include something about how if this officer continues what he treatend you with you will hire a lawyer and sue the city.
Stoping you and questioning you is one thing but the treat of future harasiment crossed the line imho.

probably no reason to do any of that. if anything he could go talk to the cops in person and try his best to smooth things out. all this other stuff really might not be needed. and a small town is a small town ya know. it's probably never really the best of ideas to be on the cops bad side.

**** that... thats harrassment... I say put something in writing via complaint and if it happens again you have it documented. Sounds like these cops were looking for trouble to begin with so even if he doesnt do anything they will still be looking for him.
