all i remember from his car was that it was clean as hell. 315 or 295 (not sure)out back and loud as hell. I saw his car in Perris in a gas station parked with bunch of LS1tech members.

The pewter SS was sold to a young guy from Yorba Linda. The wheels that were on it were Fikse FM5's 17X9.5 all around, but I hooked my best friend up with them and he gave me his Einke Win's to sell with the car. I do miss that car, only had 10000 miles on it when I sold it.
Maybe you can agree with me Grip, but there is just something about the Corvette that makes it worth the sacrifice of the SS. 50/50 weight distribution, a set of coilovers will make it feel like a go cart w/0 body roll, and the car is sure footed even at 170+ speeds. (Track only of course).

Nice car junky, interstingly enough, my friend that I gave the Fikse's to has the same year, same color, IDENTICAL SS that I sold, just without the CME. Pewter is one of the best colors I have owned.
LEO's generally get a little ticked when a civilian has plates that display jargon or penal code numbers on their plates. Kind of a "unwritten rule". I have since retired those plates because of the fact that I am a civilian
I like my new plates better though, I get more action on the street/fwys.
Where in SoCal are you located Grip? I'm in Yucaipa.
