My car has a horrible horn and what do you all think loud train horn or old fashion awwooggaa horn? I allready have a PA with intercom so i can yell at ricers or talk to truckers also but i need a horn that is not so gay.

 

You have got to get a train horn. I'm a long haul trucker and lots of us have train horns on our trucks. I wanna put one on my soon-to-get Tahoe. Get a train horn and scare the crap outta people just to see their looks.

 

if your one of them people that like getting attention either one will do.

 

i say train horn. ive been thinking about doing the same since my BRIGHT RED and LOUD car seems to be invisible.

 

i would say train horn, but not for a camaro??? they're better on lifted trucks!!

 

well i dont know if it is my year or what but my horn sounds like it could be in a geo metro or a civic. My moms lt1 horn sounds fine but it is almost emabrassing to honk mine.

 

yeah my horn in the 01 z28 sounds pretty gay and it should belong in a honda or something. so where can i get a train horn?

 

at kragen or auto zone. they are like $10-$12 it is in the right front of your car you have to take off the little black pannel from the bottom in front of your right front tire.

my 67 camaro had the aaaaaoga horn ahhhh long time ago....my uncle took it off the car tho

A relative of mine installed one in his truck and it was huge. Don't know how one would fit in our engine bay. If I remember correctly, it was the size of two 1-gallon containers of milk stacked on top of one another.

Anyone have any links or info on these?

 

i say a novelty horn that does that little tune they play at horse races and such.

 

some do but this one has a gorn and like a tube to biuld power or something. or there is the one that has like 32 sounds but i dont know

 

i usaually dont use my horn cause it sounds gay too, so I rev at em. that usualy gets their attention if u have TD

 

seriously...what is up with the gay horns in our car...i wanna change it to something that you would find in a bigger car...maybe the one used in a silverado or tahoe or something

 

To get a horn as loud as the train horn, you'll need a compressed air type of setup, which isn't practical on our cars.

I say get one that plays dixie.
