Default finally opened her up today

so i finally hit 140 today in the 118 fwy and it felt amazing
i mean, i did 135 in my cousins mach 1 and my bird felt more dialed in, more stable at those speeds, one question tho, is it normal for the pull to decrease somewhat once you shift to 5th?

the gear ratio in the M6 trannies takes a nose dive once you shift into 5th. The M12 trannies have a much better 5th gear.

I hate to say it, and I did it one time and one time only. I ran mine until about 150mph and it still had a little left, but I chickened out. It was pretty scary and i dought it will happen again, but it was one hell of a rush.

Ive gotten upto 161 and it felt pretty damn stable and had more in it. Cant say that about my old GTO tho, anything after 145 felt pretty scary imo.

all this was done in lonely backroads in mexico tho

well from what ive gathered, 5th and 6th gears are both OD, so it wouldnt pull as hard.

ive had my Brother in laws CTS-v up that high, it felt nice. vegas trips FTMFW.

Beat me to it. Yes 5th and 6th are OD gears. 4th is the last gear that is transferring equal/increased power.

I've done 165 a few times in the old Z. The fastest i've taken the SS is 145, I've found that the front suspension needs a couple bushings replaced, I shakes above 130mph.
