ya the fast way would save me alot of money too, cuz that eagle 4340 rotating assembly is like $2250. An LS1 rebuild kit(seals, rings, and such) with Forged pistons would only be from $500-750. im sure i could track down a stock rotating assembly for cheap. LS1 heads and valve train wouldn't be that much either.

But that built trans isn't something i can really avoid. gotta track down a 4L60E and send it out to get work done. thats prob gonna be 2grand right there.

cuz a built auto will be faster than any stick shift, and converting an auto to a T-56 would cost me even more: new transmission cross member, slave cylinder, Pedal assembly, custom driveshaft, gotta cut into the floor, new center consol.

all that adds up. and its so nice sitting in traffic and not going, 1-2, 1-2-3, 1-2, 1-2,

Problem is to do it right you're looking at a 10 grand job. If I was doing it, I'd pull everything from under the hood, repaint the cavity and go from there.

HA, ya you know. i was just going through the treads, and someone is selling a built 4L60E for $750 its only made to handle 500hp though. so maybe i would be able to track the one i need down for $1250-1500, and save $500.
