"Authorities want to send a strong message."
When are authorities going to realize that with the racetracks getting shut down (Terminal Island, Pomona, Carlsbad, and LACR) that racers have no choice but to find an abandoned street. There are only two tracks left in SoCal, Irwindale and Fontana. Irwindale is 1/8 mile and open on Thursday nights. Fontana is open less than once a month. Carlsbad and LACR used to be open every weekend. There is also Famoso, which is 2-3 hours away for most people here. How would you like to be told you cant do your favorite hobby any more?

I'm so with you on this one. this is exactly what I have been preaching for a while now. although I'm not big fan of street racing we really have nothing left. As much as I know people really disliked LACR for its poor lane conditions and high altitude, you could run ALL NIGHT LONG and depending on how many people showed up on a slow day you could hot lap if you wanted to.

I would venture to say the percentage of street racers that actualy follow a code of conduct is less than 4%. The rest seem to think this life is a 2F2F movie. Which draws negative attention to the street racers that actually try to avoid traffic and drama.

Is this just east of the 60/215?
What irritates me about things like this is what if I was driving by or in that parking lot and got caught up innocently in the "sting". What crazy world do we live in that just because we have fast cars, that it means we are going to be street racing? Or, more importantly, that cops have the right to look in my vehicle.
What if we had a big domestic meet and the cops rolled in, we'd be in the same shoes as these guys.... puts it into perspective.

Its Funny How The Ricers Like To Rev Their Little Lawnmowers Engines, It Seems Their **** Is Going To Blow Up. I Bet All The Citations Where Given to Pure RiceRockets. They All Need To Leave Their Fantasy Land They Live In.
