Ya, get some 3/8th dowel from Home depot to insure that none of the lifters fall down when putting it in. when you doing the install? Going to degree it.

upgrading pushrods? Double roller timing chain at the same time? might as well.

Have to get it tuned right afterwards.

slide em in the two holes just above the the cam, prevents lifters from falling down should they come loose.

Get the hardened pushrods..It would be a good idea to tune the car, most of the power is up top with this cam..or shift at about 6200 instead of 5800

not to be negative or anything but... just seems like a **** load of work for just an ls6 cam. Dont forget to add in the cost of all the fluids/gaskets/sealer you may need

I would go with a bigger cam also and you might want to change your oil pump while your at it. There is a reason why the LS6 cam is cheap. If you look on ebay you can find regrind cams for $100. Same specs as a hot cam or bigger.

honesty, just wait for the money to buy a larger cam its not worth the time and effort! you can make the same power with some bolt ons!

I still say do the cam you think about it it will cost you no more then $100 or so and you will gain 20+ horsepower for a weekends worth of work. Not to mention the knowledge you will gain.

1. The lifter in the LS are contained and when you spin the cam with no pressure from the pushrods on them they are supposed to stick in the up position. The dowel rod will cost less than $2 and just ensure that they don't fall down into the engine.
