Default Header Install Party!! May 9th or 16th

Alright! Time to get the deed done! Anyone who has been bored lately and has some experience with header work (or just wants to hang out) should come! I'll be getting my final parts by next week (hopefully, keeping my fingers crossed) and we should be good to go. I live in coto de caza, right off the 241toll road. Id like to do it either may 9th or may 16th, both fridays, whatever works for everyone else.

I'll provide food, beer, water, laughs and after we can go for a swim in the pool or hang out and have some cigars in the spa (nothing better than a bunch of wet-greesy guys sitting in a tub right? )

So far coming is me, who wont really be of any help, my buddy dave, who will take care of the welding, and ss.slp.ls1.

I don't have a lift, just jack stands... hopefully we can make that work somehow.

anyone interested?

Nice, you got a welder.

We just need to figure out how to get the job done without a lift? Blocks and jack stands?

You have any spare wheels laying around? You should invest in some heavy duty jack stands. They're not that expensive.

I haven't found a headers install write-up on a Fbody, but here's one for a C5, and they didn't use a lift.

****, if my fat *** can do it with Rhino Ramps and jacks stands, anyone can.

And there are write-ups on tech for the install, just search the Gen III Ext. Eng. section.

Wow i did them myself in the driveway with two jack stands and a floorjack in about 4hrs. With just hand tools. You can pickup a set of stands (3-ton) from Sears for like $23,

NGK TR55 plugs btw.

If you're gonna have someone install motor mounts for you you'll probably need to provide more than food and drink at the end. Any massage parlors in your area that give happy endings?
