Best in my LS6 Datsun was 12.3 and 121mph on my cracking, dry rotted 195/75/14s...track prep was awesome I got a 2.0 60 foot on those! One of my buddies grenaded his drive shaft on only nittos as well.
Weather and track prep made for one awesome day for Racing but next time I vote NO MO BRACKETS. I would be in line in the test and tune lane for 30 minutes only to have them shut it down right when I finally get near the front and call the brackets cars to go right around me. This would cause me to wait another 15-20 minutes on top of that. It felt like I was being cut in front of. This happened like 3 times near the end of the day. I did get in 7 runs but I made use of the pro tree and sportsman tree and I also waited in my car at the back of the staging lanes just so I could get in line as quickly and as often as possible. Alot of my friends only got 3 or 4 runs in .
Great day though Mark really appreciate all your hard work!!!
The lady who runs the track said that LAInvasion was bigger than the Mopar show!!!

I only rented the track I don't have direct control over running it. I heard the same thing from Big Deez and I am thinking next year we will go all out just TNT. The track swore to me that the Bracket racing would go fast and not take up much of the TNT time but I saw that was not the case. As for opening late and closing early I will take that up with them for next year. Big Deez did say he got in some hot laps at the end.

I wanted everyone to get 10-12 passes and the Bracket guys did. I think the Average was around 8 from everyone I talked to.

I hope everyone had Fun, and we can do it again next year.

We were supposed to start racing at 9am, I will push next year for them to be more punctual.

I hope everyone had a good time. Motorgen.com should have some videos up soon and we will be on Speedsceneracing.com TV show June 3rd at 6pm

Then right as I am getting the track and car figured out, they shut down early!

I had an awesome time! I loved seeing all these cars run and matching cars to screen names. I didn't think the brackets was a bad idea originally but after seeing it in action...no thanks anymore. I think the average was a bit lower than 8. Definitely not anyones fault more a of a learning experience....time to get ready for next year !

not bad for thrashing all night with no sleep once we figured out the tt trans am wasn't going to make it.we were still putting the car together at the track ...the car would not hook for sh-t on the motor glad we did not try and squeeze it.we might take it out thurs.

you need good prep to break Fbody drive shafts or rears. any kind of prep will eat them up the way some people launch their M6s.

with that being said, i compared the 1/8 mile on my best run to my best 1/8 mile at irwindale, and they were very close. one disclaimer though is yesterday was on ET streets, irwindale was on Falken Azenis RT-615, which hook ok, but ET streets should hook way better.

Ill just say it again, great event Mark. Ill be the first to sign up again next year, for all events (and ill actually dyno next year).

I didn't attend, but I agree, T&T only next time..I think people are more happy to get some good times than fiddle with bracket racing..I am surprised so many people broke, Damn S-10 Rearends..LOL

Rob, Ya I was looking forward to seeing the TT T/A, ah well next time.

Dave refunded your dyno money since the folks paid to get in. I don't know what you said or who you talked to but the dyno day filled up after that chat.

I think the only Sponsor disappointed was CSOC but they sounded like they are in it for the long haul and will help work to get more of the Vettes out next time.

There will def be some changes to make it an even better event next year.

plus prep must not have been too bad, i cut a 1.53 60ft on stock irs gto (airbags of course) with tiny 26-11.5-16 et streets, with no tubes and stock 16" trans am wheels
it did bog ,i need to check and make sure we have gas in it next time..lol
