i guess that people breaking drive shafts and rear ends meant there wasn't VHT down for grip ..

as for the starting time.. PEOPLE this was the first event, things happen..

THANKS for putting on a GREAT drag event (just wish i had my GN still)
Hey Bro!! Did you go to the LA Invasion? I was there too!! I spent most of my time at the car show area and was talking to Ryne at CMS Motorsports!! Car left today to his shop! Can't wait for the results!!

Are you calling his old car gay, or the TPI gay, or what? Cuz I have several TPI's who are equal to or faster than a 13.3. How gay is that?

Congrats on winning bracket 4. I sure didnt want that slow orange pumpkin to win. That's the only bad thing about bracket racing, is some stock slow car can win on consistancy.

The whole day was set up for bracketing tho, so normal racing had to wait over and over again! I raced almost everytime and only did 6 runs!

Then right as I am getting the track and car figured out, they shut down early!
I cant believe people who got 6-8 runs are complaining. I got 5 runs and I am happy. Three practice runs, then I lost the first round of bracket 4 due to a red light (-0.007! DOH!), and then made one more run in test'n'tune. I could have gotten another run or two but my rear end started making a whining noise. I like bracket racing more than heads-up because that way the winner is more about driver's skill and not the guy with the most dollars in his car.
The only complaint I have is the late start time. Was the ambulance late; is that why? Otherwise I am very happy and I cant wait until next year. Big THANK YOU to Mark and all the people who helped to put this event on.

Oh, and my time? Well I had the "slow" setup in my car because we concentrated on my dad's car (Dyno Don, went 12.63 @ 108.60 with a TPI, all engine). My best was 13.23 @ 105, which isnt my best but its the fastest I've been at that track. Fontana has never agreed with me, I miss Carlsbad!

PS: Where are the pics of the bikini girls???

This LT1 made it in the 11's.

This was my first time in the Bird.

First run, 12.29 @ 113.
Second run, 11.9 @117.
Third run, time for a new clutch.

Will be back next year. Great event. Thanks to the sponsors and to everone involved in organizing the L.A. Invasion. Enjoyed the Dyno. Thanks to Haddad Motorsports. Even though I froze my nipples off, the cruz and bbq to big bear was a blast.

I got 2 runs in before I got bored waiting for the brackets to be over with... So I just loaded up the car and watched the rest of the day.

I know the car is capable of 12's at that track. Out of the 2 runs, I ran a 13.4 @ 108 with a 2.2 60'. I just couldnt get the clutch to slip enough to give me a good launch and I didnt want to twist a driveshaft either. So I was stuck in bog town off the line.

Overall though, it was a pretty cool day. Just wish there were no brackets, I would have been knocking runs down all day if that were the case.

Hopefully next year we will be able to talk the track into letting us use the parking lot that was reserved for the band and car show for a nice little auto-x course. That would be sick! 1/4mile and AutoX all in the same day.. Now we are talking!!!

Nice to get to run with all those "fast" cars!
I wish they had started on time, I got five runs which was 3 TNT and 2 bracket runs.
At least there didn't seem to be any huge incidents on the track...

I ran 13.4's all day.. I even won my first bracket.
My personal best was a 13.35 @ 101 with a 1.87 60 foot.
Brand new motor, haven't had it tuned yet... Be afraid.
