burning the seafoam through a running engine does nothing for the engine and.. it doesn't smoke. SOAKING (seafoaming) definately burns crap out of your engine. I've found three of the five vehicles i've done it to benefit from it. I use it 100 miles before an oil change and the oil comes out dark as sin. It's awesome.

actually with all the maintenance in fuel system cleaning, fuel filter service intervals, the lack of heat generated by bio diesel = worse mpg, only a few stations around so cal carry it and it seems as of now the only benefit is the environmental benefit. not cost effective, or time effective, which time=________? come on say it with me, MONEY...
are you talking about biodiesel or stright vegetable oil...if you are takling about biodiesel your info is skewed...

I seafoamed my car, it smoked very little, and there was no noticeable improvement in any category as far as I can remember (throttle response, fuel efficiency, etc.). Some measurements are subjective, others objective.
Believers will say "your car just wasn't in dire need of it like others" or "your engine was clean", haters will say "see, it doesn't work".

i reset the trip meter every time i fill my car up so i know what how many miles per tank im getting. used to be around 300. now im at a little above half tank and have only gone about 80 miles. i just cleaned the maf and removed the throttle body and cleaned it really well. the egr valve was clean and the pcv valve looked like new. so this weekend im gonna do plugs,02 sensors, and a fuel filter.

so its 50/50 on this seafoam stuff. I remember the carb days when peeps used to pour auto trans fluid on the carb/rev the engine to clean heads and cylinders. This seafoam stuff sounds like the same concept. Use it if you choose to.
