there's a thread about a guy doing it with a truck and gaining about 20RWHP, it's recent so if you search it should come out. My buddy ran one on his old 13.X:1 422SBC, said he did it so he could run 93 in it with limited detonation.

You will benifit more from methanol using it on FI cars, Because of it's cooling affects on IAT allowing to run more boost without detonation. It wouldn't be worth the cost for the gains on a NA car IMO.

yeah just like expeditious said, the advantage of having methanol injection is to run more boost without the risk of detonation, the only real advantage you could use of it is if you had a high comp motor with a very unstreetable tune not meant for anything less than probably 100 octane, it might be worth it then,

not worth it at all unless you where going to run on pure alcohol then you add killer timing and compression.

I disagree, it can be an ideal solution to the d.d. with a smallish tight LSA cam where 91 octane does'nt cut it. I'll use my L92 408 as an example. 10.9 to 1 with a 231/235 110 LSA cam. I had to seriously pull timing down low to keep the rattle out of it. It was right in my cruise rpm range which killed my MPG. To run the proper timing I had to run Torco. I would had rather sprayed window washer fluid with a FJO kit than pay for the Torco. The car took full timing up top with 91 octane. JMOOC

I was thinking of looking for a cheap kit to run in the summer here in AZ. Along with the above mentioned benefits it will also add with removing carbon build up and clean the cylinders. I would only look at using water or maybe a as high as a 30/70 washer mix. Nothing to great just enough to help out with heat and **** summer gas!

Chris, your car is outside the limits for pump gas, a stock or near stock car will not gain anything from it.

washer fluid/water/heet mixtures are a bunch of crap, if it's going to be done do it with either 100% denatured alcohol, Ethanol, or Methanol. No point in sending a few $$$ for a kit to run water through it.

Depending on the size of the nozzle used the car may have to be retuned.

remember on my evo i was running stock injectors a 67mm turbo at 35lbs and a single M10 nozzle SMC kit @100psi and i was able keep my AF pegged below 10.0

Alex, I agree a stock or near stock car is a zero benefit choice. However, going to the extreme of killer timing and c.r. is, well extreme for a pump gas combo. My point was and is, there is benefit in a middle of the road combination which I feel the V was.
