Default why does this happen??

when i took my car to the tire shop i noticed my rear passenger rotor had more then a few cracks on it, i was like WTF? i think the rear drivers side had like 1 or 2 max. but i was wondering how could this have happen and how urgent is it for me to replace it, i think there still the GM rotors on there, here are a few pics to show.

how do u guys like my new tires?

Looks like it's shallow, just on the surface. I thought heat caused cracks. In your case, it may be age too. Don't know much about it.

I think I have the same tires. HTR Z 2s?

lol, yea i know what u mean if u put it dat way man, i saw some r compound tires for sale chap at tirerack closeout sale but they only i think had 1 left and it was 80 a tire. im now looking for a place to do some alignment work, im going to go with a little more toe out for better cornering and maybe some camber. i would love to run auto x but havent seen events lately but im sure these tires would be good enough for an amateur like me

i know of a GREAT place that does amazing alignment.. not the cheapest but they work on fbods and vette's... it's a vette shop really.. manager is a real cool guy and fully explains everything with a TON of experiance. Prices are actually reasonable even though it's a Corvette place. . . that's where i go for alingment/balance

The rotors on my 98 look exactly the same..The pads are still good, the brake pedal doesn't pulsate, So I am not worried about it..

Agreed, plus the stock brakes suck, on my car they warpped like 3 times and we would machine them and change the pads but it would keep happening so finally we got some slotted rotors and I havent had a problem since, and now I drive the car, my mom used to barely putt around in the car.

its not that big a deal but I would get an upgrade, I got rotors and brake pads for 200 dollars yeah they're cheap but they are way better than stock and plus they look cool behind the rims
