Tricks for CA smog test?
Hi,
It's time for that dreaded biennial event - the California smog test! I "should" be legal, and I'm hoping I'll pass legally, but I've got a bit of a cam in the car and my cats have 100K miles on. My last test was a bit of a squeaker.
So I'm wondering if you guys have any tricks. I've heard before that putting some alcohol in with the gas can help. Don't know if that's true or not. Any other thoughts?

on a serious note, go to a good tuner or the tuner you have currently have them check your a/f and make sure all is good get the car good and hot and then take it down and cross your fingers
Try Seafoaming the car.. really help if you can get rid of some of that carbon build up. Make sure your cats are really hot !,.. go for a highway cruise or drive around 10-15 in a lower gear to get engine and cat hot.!!
Clean the Throttle Body and intake. Change the oil and plugs
and see about a tuner to check and adjust the A/F and idle. Make sure you don't have ay vacuum leaks.
Also try getting the test done 1st thing in the morning.
