Default FAST 90/90 on a TCS car

Who has installed FAST on a TCS car? Seems like the throttle cable is too short even after adjusting.

Nobody has put a FAST on a 98? the stock TB cam is smaller than the TPIS one so I'm thinking thats the issue.

Did you post this in the ls1 external section? Maybe someone there that can help.

thats weird, it should work since your using there tb and plate. if it was me and at last resort i would drill new holes in the plate that holds in the wires to extend it at bit forward.

I know the TCS are different, and I think about it sometimes to what I'd need to do if I got a 90 setup. But just kinda left it as a "I'll cross that bridge when I get there" type of thing. Post if you find the fix, I'm sure there's lots that have done it.

I encountered the same problem after installing my FAST90/90. About half way between the TB cam/linkage and the TCS motor there is an adjustment coupler in the throttle cable where you can adjust it's overall length. This will release the tension on the throttle cable allowing the throttle body to fully close. You may have to adjust the idle adjustment screw on the TB to keep your car from stalling until you get a tune (optional).

yeah I adjusted those as far as they go. Im thinking on the 98's the TB cam is smaller so the cable is shorter. The TPIS TB i'm using has a larger cam and makes the cable too short. The main problem I have right now is that even with the cable disconnected and the tb blade all the way closed the car is idling at 1400. I want to try a different TB and see if thats the issue. I sprayed carb cleaner everywhere and the idle didnt change. I pulled the IAC out and cleaned it up and re installed it nothing. then I got pissed and quit for the day. Today I am going to start it without the lid connected and put my hand over the TB and see if it kills it.
