The MS3 beats it in a straight line is WAAAY nicer inside and will spank it around a track as well. Oh yeah and its gets better MPG and has more options available to it. That includes the neon and caliber versions.

The MS3 is really the most practical, fastest, and nicest of all the sport compact FWD cars. For a daily driver it is way ahead of the rest of those cars, I mean come on it will keep up with stock LS1 camaros without problem, it will keep up with STi's and Evo's around a track, gets better MPG and is more highly optioned and most room out of all those stated above. You really can't go wrong with it if you plan on keeping it close to stock and daily driving it.

I completely forgot about the new Cobalt SS.

That new Cobalt SS is no joke for a cheap $22,000 brand new car. Im surprised the cobalt was 1.5mph faster than the MS3 stock.

Personally Id take a white G8 over any of the cars listed. A 5 speed auto or 6 speed G8 should get the same MPGs as these turbo'd, steep geared, high reving 4 cylinders.

well... just called up the dealer again...

amazing, apparently these days they no longer deal/haggle with you on the price... the price listed in the window, is what they are selling it for, not a penny less!

since when did car dealerships get so proud? It's a car that's been out for like 3-4 years already lol...

they mentioned this next wednesday that they "might" have more incentives by then come up... so i told them to give me a call back then... as of now they are sticking to their window price of $32,317... I've pretty much offered them 30k for it... and they don't wanna budge over $2,317 with the economy the way it is makes no sense.... but their loss.... we are in no hurry...

G8s are still a BRAND NEW car. Most dealers are selling them at MSRP and really not making ANY money off of them at all. Wait til the 09 models start hitting the lot and then go pick up your 08 model for 27k.

2 door, no space, slow, over priced, obnoxious interior. Next crappy car to the list?

Actually the Mini has a TON of room. Its even suggested that if taller guys want a small car to get a Mini.

Want to stop the youve got going for the MS3?

Just messing but it is getting annoying listening to you BEG this guy to get his girl a MS3.

I'm just pointing out the facts that the MS3 is the best car of what has been listed for his criteria. Personally its not even the car I would buy unless it was this exact criteria. Can't help that its an outstanding car. Its like when people ask which mods to get they just pick what they have. When in reality its not always the best choice. In this case I really think the MS3 is the best choice, I'm simply stating the facts about the other cars.

PS I sat in a mini, I am 5'10 160ish and I thought it was tiny, you can forget about the back seat if the people in the front or you have legs.

Ok and some of the cars have been mentioned more than a few times so I can mention MS3 as much as I want and explain why in a comparison of every car. It helps when you have a lot of experience with a certain car

The BMW 128i starts at 29k.... you can get it with no options at that price. In-line six (the same as in the 3 series yet is faster) and goes 0-60 in 5.8. Also the Altima Coupe has great mpg, looks like a g37, and has 270hp. The Altima Coupe can be had with all the options for 30k (ie navigation, premium sound, blue tooth, leather/adjustable seats). I know I sound like an ad but I'm looking for a DD right now too that I won't want to modify and has great mpg- so I was looking at these two cars.

ha yes +1 for the altima coupe. You can always change out the grill for a more custom look. 6spd manual or 6spd auto with manual mode. (cvt) transmission.

The g8 is the best bang for the buck. they can be had for $28000 out the door. tons of room inside, tons of trunk room and runs 13.5-13.7 stock. They also get good economy new 5 speed auto.
There are issues with the aftermarket for the MS3. Now that COBB has there AccessPort out for it they should be doing pretty well with HP/TQ numbers but when I had mine they were maxing out at 300whp with TBE and Intake. The other issue is the DISI fuel pump. I know they were beginning to modify the Audi fuel pump to work or selling the modification parts to upgrade your own fuel pump which was the other big hurdle for bit hp/tq numbers.

The new Cobalt SS/SC is going to be mean: Here is one with a catback and retune by Hahn.

An MS3 has gone 12.79 with Intake/Midpipe/Slicks
