I just brought home a 1982 camaro z28. I didn't know if the guy knew about the car being a pace car but he said that the car is a 500 special or something. The car is one of 6000 pace cars sold. All he said it needed was a water pump. When he bought the car the engine was recently rebuilt. Since he has owned the car he rebuilt the tranny, carb, swaped the computer, heater and reupholstered the entire interior. It looks like it has a new hypertech distributer, wires, B&M shifter that I saw online for $200 and other little things. I plan to get the pump on the car soon and see if I can get it fired up. Here are some pics.

found it in the back of my boss's friend shop. Saved a Camaros' life cuz at first he was talking about junking all the old cars in the back for scrap metal.
I'm gonna get back to as close as original as I can but I'm not sure about the color red. I'd like to paint it blue like I've seen on some 3rd gens but we'll see.
now cowl hood and it's a carb set up.

Just get it running for now then just clean up the exterior and make it primer black for the time being. The exterior is straight as hell haven't found a dent yet and the interior is brand new just needs to be vacuumed.
Yes it would but it would cost way more than I have plus I want to keep it as original as possible and I already have my cammed ls1.
Practically nothing still signing the adoption paper work lol.
This would be sweeet!!

But at the end of the day its still a turd gen pace car, which I don't think there is a huge calling for, could be wrong though. But with it painted original and keep a full exhaust system on it you could built the engine up pretty nice and make it a little street hustler.
