Default Got another camaro today :)

I just brought home a 1982 camaro z28. I didn't know if the guy knew about the car being a pace car but he said that the car is a 500 special or something. The car is one of 6000 pace cars sold. All he said it needed was a water pump. When he bought the car the engine was recently rebuilt. Since he has owned the car he rebuilt the tranny, carb, swaped the computer, heater and reupholstered the entire interior. It looks like it has a new hypertech distributer, wires, B&M shifter that I saw online for $200 and other little things. I plan to get the pump on the car soon and see if I can get it fired up. Here are some pics.

I can't see the pics (photobucket and the likes are blocked at work).

Does it have the true cowl induction or was that only offered on 1982 Z28's with crossfire injection?

I'm gonna get back to as close as original as I can but I'm not sure about the color red. I'd like to paint it blue like I've seen on some 3rd gens but we'll see.

Just get it running for now then just clean up the exterior and make it primer black for the time being. The exterior is straight as hell haven't found a dent yet and the interior is brand new just needs to be vacuumed.

There was an old k10 custom truck a volkswagon van and another old school truck but he sold them all already. Someone was trying to pull the camaro from under me while I was trying to get a trailer so I just used my AAA to pick it up.

He had $7500 worth of three welders plus a plasma cutter that he sold for $1000. I wish I new how to weld I could have bought one of the welders for $100

The car was Red? A Pace car should have been two tone blue, would have red accents on the wheels, blue and silver vinyl interior, and some special interior stuff. Thats kind of cool if its a pcae car...only 6,360 produced.

But at the end of the day its still a turd gen pace car, which I don't think there is a huge calling for, could be wrong though. But with it painted original and keep a full exhaust system on it you could built the engine up pretty nice and make it a little street hustler.

Yea its no collectors car or anything...I always liked them painted silver with a cowl hood, that blue metallic looks sweet too.Paint it NBM like your Z28.
