what is the point of going to the dragstrip on a street tire? If you are willing, double check to see if there is any exceptions. My car is a full on street car but it's going to need a slick, and thats also the only tire i have. If there is no exceptions, i will have to miss this one

 

the et streets are pretty much a slick with DOT approval to run in certain classes thats what im gonna be running as well as alot of other people unless u have a 7 sec car i think ur good with that tire.

 

I dont think the ET Streets would dead hook my car, and i don't have an alternative tire even if they would. If you are willing to double check (since my car is a PURE STREET CAR) and see if there is anyway past that, id appreciate it. If not, have a good time up there

Maybe you could explain to the tracks insurance company how a PURE STREET CAR runs a tire not approved for use on the street?

This event will require that you have a DOT tire, If you go to www.famosoraceway.com they should have their 2009 schedule up soon, they usually have a test n tune in March, the weather is excellent and the cost is around $40. Also let me mention that this a prepay event only. If you haven't prepaid you won't be let in the track. We can't run the risk of 100's of cars showing up on race day.
