you dont need to run larger then stock valves, just tell richard your on a budget, you wont sacrifice that much power expecially through a ls6 intake

His 243's came with 918's(.600max) assembled with seats retainers, valve seals and locks and he said he was buying pushrods anyway...

If the heads are not milled too much and you are still on the stock cam, Stock length pushrods will be fine.

i think ryne told me to get them milled either .30 or .35 and get .40 head gaskets.

you'll have to do the math or use a adj. pushrod to check. It sounds like you will, but i'm not sure how the stock cam plays into the equation.

most aftermarket cams will use a smaller base circle in order to get the most out of a grind....also your talking about removing 30-35 thousandths off the deck of the head and running a head gasket that is 20 thousandths thinner compressed than your stock gasket...you cant just assume what pushrod length will work...you need to check it...

what a lot of people are failing to realize, is that most heads/cam setups dont need anywhere near 300 CFM to make the power levels many desire...

Oh, then that should accomodate a TR224 just fine.

he is probably going to need to run a 7.350 pushrod if he is running the stock camshaft. but preload needs to be checked

well i have a bunch of pushrods here in various lengths, i just check how many turns past zero lash (piston @ TDC) until 22ftlbs of torque with .047" being about 1 turn. with stock, comp 850's,caddy lifters etc etc. i like to see.070-90" preload cold. with morel lifters and comp r's i like to see around .025-35" preload.

They should. Plus I saw Camp Pendelton as the area, so odds are he doesn't have to worry about smog. A 224/224 sounds good on a 112.

PM me, talk to me about this proposal.

Even with a 112 lsa, a dead on tune will pass smog.
