Unhappy Watched a dead body being pulled from RSM lake

Last night my wife and I took the dog on a bike ride up to the lake in RSM around 930pm. We noticed tons of cops and people standing around the lake and it was easy to figure out what was going on. They had a police diver systematically walking the floor of the shallow lake (only gets to 8ft at its deepest). He ended up yelling out "I found him". It was not a good feeling being around there and I couldn't understand the folks standing out there watching with their kids for the body to be found.

Some people get a rise out of that stuff. Mostly people that have nothing better to do. No respect for some people, especially if its a young kid that accidentally drowned. Hence the reason why the 5 is backed up for miles when some guy is on the side of the road changing tires. Damn rubber neckers.

RSM = Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. It's a small middle-high income town in southern California located somewhere between LA and SD (Orange County) up against the foothills (real nice area). The lake he is referring to is a small man-made lake that is surrounded by houses and a shopping center. I've heard if you walk around it, 1 lap is 1 mile...

And yes, whoever gets a laugh out of seeing dead bodies is either sick and/or stupid.

I don't know if I get a laugh out of seeing bodies, but there is that sense of morbid curiosity. I once stood and watched the Long Beach PD pull a guy's body out of a rollover when I was out walking the dog. Turned out that the guy lived on the next street over from my house. If I were the guy that was killed, I wouldn't care who watched, as long as my body's ***** weren't hanging out or anything.

Guess it was too many horror movies with dad when I was a kid
