I would say its probably worth around $17,000 if its sold the way it sits. You can pick up plenty of stock 2001 M6 WS6's with those miles for around $14K-$15K or even less, depending on conditions. its the 2002's that are hard to get like that. do you have any pictures? what kind of condition is the car in? garaged?
I agree with 06M6TorridGTO that a stock one would be around $15k, so maybe hi teens for this car due to the mods. But you should knock $5k off your offer on principality alone because it has twenties on it lol.
I know it's just a guide line but I checked the NADA value for the heck of it. It was lower than I expected, $15,700 was clean retail. Generally private sellers should expect a little less. He did more mods than I first realized but my rule of thumb is to pay about 1/2 for any mods done assuming they are mods I like lol. He's probably got $10k in mods, so figure $5k above book= $20k. I'd try to get it for a little less than that. What is he asking anyway?
He wants 20 for it modded and 18 bone stock. He said it has around 8500 in mods. I calculated it using the how to price your car in the for sale section and it was saying it was worth 15,275 which i though was a little low. I was thinking somewhere around 17 would be about right but im not too sure

That $15k price is accurate. He will be sitting on that car forever in these times. This is a younger person's car ONLY!! That equates to a NO cash and NO loan market. Let him sit on your $15k offer for a few weeks. There is an excellent chance you will get a call saying DEAL!
