Default 2001 Red TA Firehawk - $13K A Good Deal?

This is a repost and will try to shorten the reading in hopes of receiving more feedback. $13K for a 2001 Red Trans Am Firehawk with 54,000 miles - is it a good deal? I have not yet seen the car (other than pictures) or driven it yet. I understand the car was well taken cared of.

All these mod's were done by SLP when the car was purchased brand new. No opinions from anyone?

Default CARFAX Report - Question to Forum

I have a question in regards to the CARFAX report - or more or less opinions. The CARFAX report is clean, one owner only. The question/concern I have is there is only one entry in regards to the car's maintenance history. That was at 19 miles when the car was first purchased. Since then no other posted maintenance reports, other then two entries from the state motor vehicle dept and two from the car dealership who is selling the car. The car has just over 54,000 miles. Any reason for concern/red flag? Thanks

it means that either the owner did any work himself or the shop that he took it to doesn't report to whatever database carfax uses. I don't believe the smaller shops report...but could be wrong.

http://www.firehawk.org/article/2498.html

1 of 83 in bright red.
1 of 32 with the A4.

This car is a GREAT buy at that price. Even it needs a little work its still got low miles for the year and it is a Firehawk.

Let's hope i get there (as a owner) and this car checks out okay - and I get it at the price range I want. I say that because they had a lower price on their dealership website. I asked to confirm before I drive out there. Then they claimed it was a wrong price, blaming it on a web software problem. Now it's listed at $15K.

Still talk them down to around $13-14k.

First person to show up with the cash will walk away with that car.

Absolutely! If I walk in with a $13K cashier check, we'll see who's pocket the keys are in when I walk out.

If that car checks out and looks as good as the pics, you better jump on it. It looks very nice. I'm jealous!!

Best of luck!

That's one thing I'm waiting to find out - will it check out mechanically. They (dealership) installed a new battery and a new windshield. One problem I have is I have to drive almost 300 miles to go see it & not sure if I can find someone to check it out quick. I'm mainly worried about things like the cylinder compression and the tranny. They say the car was well taken care of and they can find nothing mechanically wrong with it. Like they would say if there really was. I'm hoping to go see it next Friday.
