Default How Much For My Car?

well i test drove a 09 G8 GT today and i think that i will be starting to look into selling my car to get one sometime late this year....i thought about doing an inferno hood this summer and some new paint work on the engine bay but i dont want to put more money in the car knowing i wont get it back...what do you think i could get for it on a private sale? i know trading it in i wont get **** for it and if i can find the right person i should be able to get decent money for it....mods i added to it are magnaflow catback, 3'' hogan DP, electric cutout on the DP, CAI intake, pioneer nav/dvd unit, tint, paint on the rear lights and engine bay, SSC springs, GXP trunk lid and 20's.....here are some pics.....car has 29,000 miles on the clock.

DP,

Your car is so freaking clean. I could see you getting 15-16k for it.

I think there really not holding there value well tho. Considering I bought an 08 in 08 for 18k. I mean I dont think it will be tough for you to sell yours but the "right" price might be tricky.

Another thing to consider is de-modding and selling it as "stock" on ebay or locally. Might get 15-16k just like that.

Good luck!!! Its a really sharp car..

$500 tomorrow in uncirculated unmarked $1 bills.

But seriously, I'd figure no less than 15k, good luck, sad to see you go, too.

Good luck man, do you own her?

The G8 is an excellent choice, my brother loves his. Hopefully he can do heads/cam/nitrous this year.

I told you that you would like the G8, it's a great car. Selling a high priced used car is tough, so you might be better off demodding and trading it in. How much did they want for the G8?

If you do plan to demod, give me first dibs on your wheels

The fact that your car is low mileage is definitely in your favor, like you said, the right buyer will be willing to pay top dollar, but finding that buyer is tough. Best of luck DP!

thing that sucks is i dont have any of the factory parts as i sold them...the G8 i looked at was a red 09 with 24K on the clock and they wanted around $24k....i drove it just to see what the car was like in person and it put a smile back on my face....they are looking for a low mileage black one for me now....i told them the most i want to spend is $25k...i look everyday but they are hard to find in these parts with what i want.

thanks Joe.....i plan on putting it up in the middle of the summer and hope to have it gone before i store it since i have my beater....i wouldnt get a G8 til the spring so i would be able to save the car payment i would have had and put that towards a down payment...thats the plan anyways

Keep searching around for the G8's. You can find them for less than 24k in mint condition as well. I saw one sell for 19.5k from Blue **** auto sales, out of PA. Thats where i bought my car for 18k.

Also, which would you rather have? GT or GXP?

Little more cash and you got a really BA car that will hold value better.

Just my .02cents

If I was forced to give my GXP up, I wouldn't settle for anything automatic again. Just my opinion, I'd save a little longer and search for a White Hot G8XP.

The G8 GXP is more than a little more cash, usually they are about $10,000 more than a GT.

There's a 2009 GT in the classified area for $20K and it hasn't sold after 4 months. So I'd say you'll have a hard time selling a GP GXP for much more than $15k to a private party.

GT for sure because a low mileage GXP is way out of my price range

The GT also has a full manual mode, and it rocks with a motor & trans tune.
