Default How much for a used ls6 intake

How much should I be paying for a used ls6 intake ? Intake only, with injectors and rails, complete with throttle body ?

Id say $350 for just the intake

$450-$500 for a whole intake, plus P&P TB

$800+ for everything?

It will not cost $800 for everything. $450 with intake and PP TB sounds about right. So $650ish whole setup with PP TB. what you putn it on? You can use stock fuel rails, tb, and injectors from the LS1

^^^daddy will tell you when your a little older...

On a side note, what you *should* be paying is around 200 bucks, but once again, everyone thinks they are made of gold.

^^^ hilarious... Port and Polished ThrottleBody... And $200 for the whole setup? Or just the intake? If you mean just the intake then yes I agree. $200-$250. Not $350. But hey that's what they go for.

Yea these things are way over priced. I was watching a used ls1 pan and pickup on eBay and the winner payed more than I payed for my new setup from the dealership

Agreed on this.....they were $300 cpl yrs ago. I guess they've become more sought after and the price curve shifted upwards. See if it goes back down now that the FAST 92mm is being produced again.

I doubt it will go down... If you buy the FAST92 you still need to buy TB. so ur lookn at $1200 for FAST92... or buy a LS6 for $350 and run your ported stock. WAY Cheaper route...

So how big of a difference is there between the ls1 and ls6 intakes on a stock ls2 engine performance wise. Will I still be able to achieve the 400 horses that it's rated at with the ls1 intake

Just picked a LS6 intake up a few weeks ago, off of craigslist. The seller was asking $350obo. I offfered $300 and he took it. Just put it on last weekend and it is the best mod I have done to date.

^^^ well on a LS1 car if u put on a LS6 you get 10-15HP. Now I know the LS2 GTO is 400HP with the LS2 intake. I wana say that the TBSS has less horse but more Torq. Since you can throw a Car mani on a truck and get more HP but lose Torq. I'm sure you wnt lose from putn on a LS1. but you would gain from a LS6. I'm not going to lie.

Used market for FAST 92 is about to drop again as well so it'll go back to intake/tb combo for $850-900. Well worth the money spent IMO at that point, especially for long term plans.

$800 for 92 setup would be good. Save $400. I'd buy one. Even tho I have everything NEW on my SS I would settle for used. More cost efficient. Could go buy cam or something.

I think I'll get the ls6 intake & look for a tb. When I get the intake I may need help with the sensors. I have the truck intake on my 5.3 so we'll see what happens.
