The car was $35,277 new w/ the SLP options and owned by Willis Baldwin and low miles so he will get good money for it.

The light might just be on because the key is in the run position without the engine being on.

would you drop 20k on it? If you had/have the 20k to spend?

I would pay 18k for it. I bought my 01 ss with 10,500 miles on it for 16.5k. It's worth whatever someone's willing to pay for it.

It was bid up to over 20k, reserve not met. Its probably worth that IMO, not partial to black because my SS is black also. Just know black is a very common color. It is a VERY clean car though.

Ok when I first saw the listing I noticed the Willis Baldwin part, never heard of the guy so thats part of what suprized me about it but the description details didnt pop up right away on my phone. I just noticed this part:
A GM Tech/Camaro enthusiast pointed out a small "notch" located on the passenger side head. He claims this is an indication that the heads were ported (further) from the factory. Anyone with knowledge to support this claim may contact me for photos
Claims all stock but ported heads from the factory? Not possible.

dont believe the rims are period correct, not shown in the 2002 brochure, however I see that car is sporting a Donaldson/Blackwing lid which is offerered in the 345 h.p. version

Theres a list of SLP options shown that the car was ordered with & the ZR1s are on there, I didnt see the Blackwing lid on the SLP list but I would imagine its part of the 345 HP upgrade.

Too many strange responses posted here. This is a very desireable ride for many just as it sits as an ultra low mileage 2002 SS. With the documented pedigree it is worth more to some people. Not a lot, but it depends on the buyer.
It is worth every dime of $20,000 and maybe a bit more.

I agree, but I see many low mile super clean cars, 35th Anniversary editions etc barely get bid on but because this Baldwin dude owned it theres more interest? Never heard of the guy.

Not many people here would remember him but he was a pretty big deal at one time. People think "Baldwin Racing' when they hear the name Baldwin but I'm not sure there is a connection from this older guy to the Tommy Baldwin Nascar shop in NC.
Like I said earlier, there might be a slight 'premium' for a car owned by him, but not much. Here is a link if you you are interested:
