Your descriptive and honest evaluation is welcome. Things sure don't sound good, especially if not advisable to drive the car. Someone that loves to build and work on cars might be interested but this is going to be a really tough sale. It probably won't fetch a whole lot more than 'roller' pricing from what I have learned here over the years. I'd love to give you a solid 'guesstimate' but it seems even they range from $1,000 to $3,000. Hopefully someone else will chime in and give a more accurate number for you. As much as it is a 'pain in the butt' have you considered selling the expensive parts? How much mileage on the Firebird itself?? Too many miles makes it even tougher as everything is wearing out. Sorry about being a 'downer' but I'm sure you know this stuff already. Good luck with your future plans.

thanks for the feedback. i figured it was in the ballpark of a roller. at most i was looking for everything as is is $3k. yea i forgot to put the mileage on the chassis, its at 146k. im the 4th owner and the car originally came from washington state where it had it's v6 to v8 swap (getting into deeper story behind the car-had a ls1 in originally) then went to VA for a short bit then to PA where a local i know bought it but sold it to me in the 2 months he had it(didnt like pontiacs and it was auto). the 98 ls1 spun a rod bearing was when i then swapped in the LQ4.

this is mainly a feeler. worse case is find another LQ4 motor and have my local shop-(when time permits) swap the topend over from the old LQ4 to the new from .

Man, part that car out! Without even thinking about the chassis this is what I think you could get for the mod's you have. Ive bought & sold alot of parts on this site so I have a pretty good idea on what you could get out of the mod's.
