2003 corvette z06
Ok everyone,
I need some opinions.
I have the opportunity to purchase a garage kept 2003 z06 silver that has 39000 miles on it. It is completely stock with new tires. My best friend knows the guy that owns it, he actually passed away and his wife is selling it. The car has never been to the track.
NADA is retail is 24500
trade in value is 20500
The lady wants 21000 for it. What does everyone think, share your opinions please. Thanks

Sounds like a no-brainer to BUY but I have about a hundred questions to ask about the details. You haven't provided much of anything other than 'stock' and new tires and garage kept. All good by the way unless they are Chinese tires.

Carfax OK? How many owners? Maintenance history? Any problems with the car? What does it need now? What kind of tires did he buy? That's not a silly question if he bought junk tires. You don't want those on a car of this magnitude. A quality set of name brand rubber will be well north of $1,000 which you would have to lay out. Minor things, like a battery or a simple oil change is negligible but you would want to know costly needs and even if every fluid has to be changed, especially if you can't do it yourself. You are talking another $1,000 at a dealership to change ALL fluids. You can see how fast it adds up.
If this Corvette was a one or two owner excellent condition car that has full maintenance records with a new set of Michelins or Goodyears it should have been in your garage by now. If it was 4 owner and you had no true history about anything, plus it needed a few things, then I might negotiate further. I'm sure you see where I am coming from. This car could be a screaming buy or perhaps not so, especially when we don't even know if it has an accident history, or worse, a bad title. Never assume.

Early Z06's with 20K to 30K miles can be had in the $22K to $24K range. So $21K for a very clean 2003 with 39K miles that needs nothing would be a pretty good deal. $20K might be the bottom line.

Ok, here are some photos, let me know what you think. It has been sitting in the garage so it does need a good cleaning. The tires have ~15000 on them and they are Toyo T1r tires.
The stock wheels come with the car to. They are the gray wheels. The oil was just changed, I checked it, it is clean. The car drove and was like a brand new car.

Still waiting for the details 1slowbusa . Did you ask the questions I posted about?? Please share. The oil is just one of the fluids. So far so good. What about the other fluids? I thought you wanted serious price advice. Help us to help you. Re-read the questions and provide us the answers to assist, especially if Carfax issues or too many owners. The pics are fine but no way you can see flaws or issues if there are any.
I wouldn't keep those tires personally. In your first post you said they were new. Apparently they are not. Maybe you are OK with them but do you know the date code for your own knowledge if you decided to keep them awhile? Pretty darn important and possibly a $1,000+ layout. How are the original wheels? Curb rash (useless) or perfect (a nice plus!)?
