NADA should be in the ball park with mileage this high ($7K to $12K). But I would think towards the lower half of that range. For $12K you could probably buy a '99 with 30K-50K miles. Then subtract off what 140K extra miles is worth. NADA adds another $2K if you look the same car up under their "classic car" headings. That's just bogus. KBB is out to lunch low with a top price of $5900 (excellent condition, private party sale) and no mileage selection. My guess would be $7K to $8K though buyers may be hard to find with mileage that high. Many might only want to pay KBB pricing...or less.

Here's one for $9K list from a dealer with <140K miles. 1 owner.

I HIGHLY doubt that car will sell for anywhere near $7 to $8k when it is knocking on the 200k mile mark.

WS6 verts in clean condition for under $8K-$10K are not that easy to find....about as hard as finding them in excellent condition with under 25K miles. Anything under the $8K-$10K price range will tend to have issues such as BIG miles, a salvage title, previous collision, body damage, hurt drive train, etc.

not selling the car, but thinking of buying it. car's in nice overall condition for the mileage. I can pick this car up cheap because it has a spun rod bearing. I would do a rebuild on the motor and flip the car.

Big mistake! Flipping a car is much tougher than you think, especially a car that is close to the end of it's active life. You may fix the engine but what about the rest of the car with it's high mileage? I don't want it. Would you pay good $$ for it?

car has been well taken care of with most of the miles being highway. trans and rear have have already been rebuilt. ball joints and most bushings have been replaced. body and interior in excellent condition! I would rather have a high mileage car that has been taken care of than one with less miles and beat to ****! I know f-body's pretty well as I have had 15 in the last two years, but never a convertible. that's the reason for this post. by the what I'm getting the car cheap, at least for a true WS6 vert. so I don't think its a big mistake.

That's still too many miles for many potential buyers. There is just no way of sugarcoating it. The miles may not bother you (or some others) but expecting a reasonable profit from a car such as this is not wise IMO. All those convertible parts are prone to failure from not only the miles, but age as well. You asked, and that is my opinion. I've owned my convertible since new and owned a '96 Formula for 9 years as well (not a 'vert) so I'm quite familiar as well and have followed pricing for many many years, posting in this section for as far back as the pages will take you (6 years at least). It's all quite simple really. Decent cars bring decent $$$. I've rarely seen a decent 180,000 miles car sell for good $$ unless it was completely restored, not just parts of it. Your description of excellent condition for the interior puzzles me unless it was also restored. 180,000 miles and the word excellent don't go hand in hand.
Good luck if you proceed with the purchase. I imagine if you bought it for really cheap there might be some $$ in it for you after all your work and outlay is done. That's up to you.
