Default 1999 hugger orange z28

open headers, no exhaust at all. ill need exhaust with a cat to pass emissions, so if i get tsp Y pipe(150), and a magnaflow high flow cat(75) its $225. most people run a muffler so if i do that add another $100. no idea how much that will cost to install. he said he wants $7000. mostly because of the rare color

looks as good as it does in the pics. only flaws i found were the driver window buttons have fallen inside the door panel and the plastic shifter piece listing the gears is gone

http://nashville.craigslist.org/cto/5580026341.html

if he would take $6500 i would do it no question. but i was already going to offer $7 before i found out no exhaust. now that $500 is going to have to be used to fix the exhaust

and im also wondering how much adding exhaust will affect the tune #s. he had it tuned open headers

It does have a nice interior based on 144K miles. Not a single tear or wear spot visible in the photos. Almost suggests the seats have been redone. The hugger orange is a nice plus. But being on a Z28 with 144K miles, that premium might only be $500-$750. Seller can't come up with any flaws to list with that many miles? They should be able to list dozens of them. Your $6K-$7K range seems reasonable though it's well above the price guides. Looks very nice in the photos.

For overall value I'd rather have a red/white/black/silver 25K-40K mile A4 for $10K or less. So that hugger orange is coming at a fairly large mileage premium.

the previous owner claimed the seats were the factory seats but they definitely seem redone.

he pointed out those 2 flaws and the headers but other than that he says its good.

there is a blue 75k mile asking $9k but its bone stock

this car is really nice and with the $400 headers and tune make it appealing. not to mention its 15 minutes from my house where every other one is 1-2 hours. the color is nice but thats not why im looking at it. it just looks clean inside and out. im not a fan of the miles and the 75k mile for $2k more might be the better deal

An NBM '99 Z28 with 75K miles at $9K is no bargain unless this one happens to be one of those very low production med gulf blues. And even then, that's a strong price. As a comparison you can find/buy a 9K mile, 1 owner, 1999 SS A4 for $13K (figure a Z28 at $1K-$1.5K less). For $9K, I'd expect a '98-'00 Z28 A4 with much lower miles. Check the Ebay "sold" figures over the past 90 says for some comparisons. A few nice vehicles sold rather cheap.

This 19K mile 1998 Z28 has been "for sale" in my area at $12K for the past 2 years (advertised nationally). It's been advertised in the $11's at times too.
