Ran across this on the Autotrader today. Went to the dealer's site (Duteau Chevrolet, Lincoln, NE) but found no additional info or photos. Probably worth a look for someone in that area. The Carfax shows 2-3 owners with the 2nd one putting on 900 miles from 2015-2017. No listing of accident damage or salvage title. The car has been registered in Lincoln, NE all its life. It was serviced by the original owner at Duteau up to 2012....and now back with them again. The 3rd owner listed on the Carfax could be Duteau or another individual who got bored with it after a couple months.
Seems cheap at $12,900 for only 5K miles. Color is silver. No mention of auto/manual trans. Certainly one of the better priced verts out there if there's nothing wrong with it. I'd like to see them post some photos soon to get a look at it. If it were in my area I'd take a drive down to see it.

I'm surprised this car has such a fair asking price, being at a dealer (and assuming it's a new ad/arrival.) Normally, dealers tend to overprice a car like this by at least $5k to start.
Hard to know for sure if it's worth checking out without seeing some pictures though. Perhaps it has some wild aftermarket cosmetic treatments, or wear/damage that is inconsistent with the mileage.

Always good to be skeptical. But, I'd also have made it a point to make a call on it if I were close by. Never hurts to check something out. While the odds favor it being too good to be true.....you never know.

^^ Definitely!! Needing a quick sale due to money woes is always a possibility with both private sales and retail establishments. A phone call would be wise if in the market, followed up with a Carfax if going the next step.

They have the Carfax posted on this 5K Z28 vert. Nothing negative in the Carfax other than potentially a 3rd previous owner....if you consider that a negative.
Dealer doesn't appear to be in any hurry to post photos on Autotrader. The first SS I went to look at in 2011 was based on an Autotrader ad with only the stock photo. The dealer never did bother to post any photos....even after months of not being able to sell it.
When checking out the under 15K mile cars on Autotrader today this one just popped up out of Petal, MS. Pretty good price too. 2002 white WS6 A4, 2 owner, 14K miles, $16,000. Fresh tires. That won't last long. Probably the first person that shows up with approx $15K cash gets it. This is very close to exactly what I was looking for in 2011. In checking the site for sale forum I see this same car has been available for a month.

I can't understand why some sellers (especially a dealer) wouldn't make it a priority to get pictures posted for a car such as this. I generally won't even inquire about a car that has an online ad without pictures; if it isn't worth their time to take/post photos, then it's not worth my time to check it out. I guess if the car was really close to home and a really great deal, on something for which I was specifically looking, I would make an exception - otherwise I'd just move on.

The vehicle no longer shows up on the dealer's website. It was there yesterday. So that took about a week. Someone probably got a nice deal. My money would be on a flipper/dealer. Let's see if it pops up again for sale soon.
