Hi I’m looking to buy a 2000 Camaro SS I wanted to know how much I should be looking to buy one at. Car has 58000 miles on it what should I pay for it in American dollars? Car is in good condition and clean never winter driven. Let me know
We definitely would enjoy helping you price the SS but we need so much more info, otherwise we are just throwing meaningless numbers at you which you could find in a generic price guide. It's all in the details, and if you have photos, that would be nice. How many owners? Was it garage kept all it's life? A4 or manual? Maintenance history? Clean Carfax, title? Any needs, like tires, fluid changes, a/c OK? etc...A turn key, one owner gem will certainly bring thousands more than a 4 owner example that was left outside, with no history and some needs. Anything would help.
It’s a 2000 Camaro SS 6 speed he hasn’t told me how many owners. It must have been garage kept in the winter. Maintenance history I don’t know. I just found out today that it is rebuilt. He says it’s only the front end but I doubt that since it’s considered rebuilt. He’s asking 8700$ Canadian.
I actually owned one a couple of years ago in 2015 it needed some help but it was a one owner car. I bought that one for 7200$ Canadian. It was a 2000 camaro SS. Transmission was a six speed making all kinds of noise and I was running 15s on the quarter mile because of my situation of not having a job at the time I ended up selling it for 8500$ after putting in some money for brakes tints and some other things. Just looking at the prices now of those cars I could have easily gotten 10,000 Canadian. I think about it everyday and regret that I got rid of a perfect car that needed some help. Clean car fax clean car never winter driven no rust. What do you think I could have gotten for that one?
Thank you for the photos and info. I'd have to pass on this one, especially with the 'rebuilt' word coming up. I personally avoid those at any price. If you can repair many problems yourself without paying shops, then perhaps this might work out for you but I think you can do better, especially if this Camaro isn't a true SS. Only thing that has me worried is the fact that he bought this car at the beginning of the summer which tells me one of two things. Mechanically it needs a lot more money than he claims. Or two it’s actually fine mechanically and his wife wants him to get rid of it (which I doubt btw) most probably something big is wrong and he is trying to off load it he’s already spent 1300$ in differential bearings and tires. I think I’ll pass on this one
The dash plaque is just like mine (01) its got a Y2Y in the rpo code, doesn't that make it an SS? The driver seat is ripped/ ripping, common ****. What does the REBUILT mean??? The title, motor???
Rebuilt as in there was an accident and the insurance claimed the accident costed more than what the car is worth. I think I’m gonna pass on this one if anyone is interested let me know I’ll put you in contact with him. He’s asking 8900$ Canadian. It’s tough to find a Camaro out here they’re pretty rare. I had it good with my 2000 SS do I ever miss that car should have never sold it
