i did a thread on the riken raptors and i was surprised how many people ran them. i believe 12SECSS was running low 12's on his auto with the rikens. most of the people that ran them said they were a good street tire for the price. im just gonna save up for some GOODYEAR F1..not so much a budget tire..

Yes, the Rikens have a soft sidewall in my 16's. Not sure about the 17's. My experience with Falkens is they wear SUPER fast in non-abusive driving like I do. I have 24k on my Rikens with 7/32nds left. I ran 12.20's on them spinning through first at half throttle pedaling a 2.09 60ft, so nothing special. Then again, they must be a hard rubber compound to last so long.
To the one who bashes Sumi's, you must be referring to the tires previous to the HTRZ III's. They all sucked.

i dont know how shipping would work, but i have a set of slightly used 245/40/18 Nitto extreme 555s sitting at my house i'd love to sell. they were installed on the wheels i bought to roll the car around and the adhesive from the sticker that comes on the tread of the tires is still present. i'd sell the set of 4 for 200 + shipping if your interested

I'd rotate/dismount. Every other oil change. Everytime if not outside/inside or rotational tires. U gotta pay to dismount and flip them. Bout 40 bucks. Also check balance. And get alinment check. A lot of people dnt think this helps but it really does.

The shop should inspect the car for free with the oil change. Have them look for leaky struts/shock. So your tires don't chop and feel like your riding on square tires LOL

Have sumi's on the front of mine and cannot rotate due to different sized fronts and rears, no cupping at all, all in the alignment and tire care.

Werd, done that before, just was more directing that at the guy that said they are terrible tires that cup etc, and someone saying they need to be rotated, well I am also a firm believer in rotation, but the point was more " I dont even rotate them and dont get cupping" but yes I do have shoulder wear that your method will help with.
