wide tires on a 3rd gen

Default wide tires on a 3rd gen
whats the widest/tallest tire i can run on my 3rd gen t/a w/o having to tub it and w/o having the tires sticking out in the back like i'm rolling around in the early 90's.

it currently has 295/50/15's on it right now and there's a nice bit of room b/t the tire and the frame from what i can tell but i'm gonna be putting the racing lower kit on it by ebiach and i really rather not have the tires rubbing against the lip of the fender well

It really depends on the wheel specs. I am going to be putting 315/35r17s on my 91 Trans Am as soon as I get a 4th gen rear (my wheels are 4th gen offset).

Be careful, that 4th gen rear sticks out an extra 1-2" on both sides.

I personally wouldnt run a car with wheel adapters that was faster than mid 12's in the quarter, and judging from the size he wants to run, id say hes looking to go faster than that.

I run a 4th gen rear on mine and have 17x11 zr1's wraped in nitto DR 315/35's.

thats differant, you dont need wheel spacers and your rear is 4" wider than a 3rd gen
