It all depends on the fittment your looking for. Some people like them Tucked in, Others Like them like they are.

Not too many people would argue when you have a 2.25" BS next to the 1.75's that the 2.25" looks better, but once again it is all taste and not performance.

These wheels are constructed with a center welded to a rim, so why can't Billet offer up a 2.25" on their 3.5's for picky guys like me?

I could understand if it were a forging like 1 piece Welds, but it is a multi-piece design so....

Are there other factors that limit their ability to offer that backspace? I mean this issue is not even limited to GM's, the 2.25" backspace also works better on Mustangs too.

on a 2pc rim you have limited availabilty to weld the center into the hoop because of the drop center. So you are limited. The wheel that was getting designed would of needed to be a 1pc forged front with the rear hoop welded to it to make it work. Pricing would be Double.

I have a 3rd gen F body that is setup to run 4th gen spec wheels. I also have Baer brakes front and rear. With my rear sport sytem that has 12 inch rotors, do you think that I would be able to use these wheels at all without major fitment issues?

What size are your fronts? How about a picture from the side?

Yeah diggin up an old one.

bigdsz, with the 205-55-17 in the front and the 26" in the back do you have any problems with the ABS (you probably don't have ABS, but just wondering if you'd know)? I really like the idea for a street/strip car.

And is your car lowered at all?

Thanks

Those are 15 X 10 in the back, no grinding of calipers but alot of sledge work and cutting off the bumpstops to fit the 27" slicks.

So is all this necessary with these wheels even with a 26 x 11.5 tire? Do these require hammering the damn wheel wells? I ask because I test fitted a wheel & its only 1/8 inch from the bump stop & it appears the tire would rub. I really didnt want to have to do this.
