Default Anyone daily driving on DOT Hoosiers or MT's?

The "small print" says not to for highway use, but are DOT approved (an oxymoron I guess). Am thinking that the "small print" is just legal banter & wanted opinions from those whom are using them. Thank-you for participating.

The new style MT radials are much more weather friendly than the older ones are, plus the compound feels a little harder when not warmed up for the track (almost like a nitto 555r). Tread pattern is better, but this tire is only available in a few sizes for larger wheels - 17"+

I have the MTs in the 315/35/17 that are in this newer style treaded tire and love them. Seem to wear great so far and are a nice solid drive (the hoosier DRs are softer sidewalled and feel a little squirmy at times).

I did a trip from S.A. to Houston back in October and unfortunately it rained one of the days I was there. Scared about 5 years off my life. Couldn't go over 25 or the car would go sideways.

I've been running the MT 305/35r18 ET Street radials since July, about 2000 miles and still have lots of tread left. The new tread design works fine in the rain, just as well as the Nittos do.
