Resurecting this thread! i now have money and im in the market for new skins. had bfg's and loved them on the street. was going to get nitto's for the simple reason of longevity.

going by the wear rating they should last longer than a bfg but not as a nitto 555r.

ahh eff it, by the time i burn throught the nitto's hopefully i will actually need a set of mickey's.

Soo Im Going To Give These A Try...As Soon As My Nitto's Are Done For.. The Cost Is Slighty More Than The Nitto's And They Come In The 275/45R16 Which Is Cool.. But Im Not Sure If That Will Rub On The Bump Stop Or Not.. Because Right Now I Have About 1/2 Of Clearance.....

I will be shopping for new tires soon, and I am really looking into a set of MT's for the rear and some Nittos in the front. But I am also waiting to hear some updates about these tires on the track and as a DD tire.

Please keep us posted, very interested. I see you currently have nitto dr's, please let us know how they perform compared to the nittos hooking on the street and track if you could. Did you buy those nittos new by chance?

Did a little researching on the internets...found an interesting read on these tires...apparently they hook a KB 2.2 600+ rw stang....pretty impressive....

Same car, here as well. Toward the bottom of page 3 he talks about driving them in heavy rain and they did ok...

I think I need a pair of em!

Seriously, enough with whether they stick out or not.

I just want to know how they hook, what their manners are in the rain, and tread life. Car looks good bud.

Do you think they hook better than a nitto dr at that power level?

I've had the 315 toyos on my car for a few months now. The treads seem to last longer than my sumitomos lol. But on the track I was not impressed to say the least. Somehow the outer edges got sticky but the middle of the tread stayed hard. I still say nothing beats M/T for hooking up. These are decent daily driver/street racer tires.

I just used up my set of 315/35r17's, I love/loved them they are completely done now, I had the BFG's before and they sucked in comparison as far as hooking up, I drove my buddys car with a bigger stall and M/T's and his spun worse than mine, that would be expected though if the tires hook the same, I cut 1.85 60ft's with no problem, I would cut better 60 ft's if I had a bigger stall or more power, the problem was not the tires they hooked great, just didnt have the power/stall. I love driving them daily. As with any race tire they suck in the rain etc. But for the money they were great.

Oh and I got 7k miles out of them, I treat tires like **** so thats no surprise

There are a few sets on ebay,Im liking these,I loved my M/T but on a DD in the rain they were scary as hell and Nitto's never hooked up well at all and Never tried BFG's.So these might be my next set of tires
