325 MT on Weld Rims
hey guys my buddy is moving to texas and is wants to sell me his 325/15/50 with a few passes on them mounted on weld centerlines? i believe? theyre not the pro stars i know that. the rims are 15x10 with 7.5'' backspacing. $300 for the set. thats a hell of deal it sounds to me. they looks great. from what i've been reading is that they will fit with the bfg and bump mod, and rolling the inner fender lip. Am i correct? also will these tires be too big for my setup power wise or does that not matter?
thanks,
tom

Weld is a wheel company, and so is Centerline. They don't mix. Im not sure what wheels you may be talking about. Draglites possibly? Either way you will have to grind the brake calipar to make them fit. If your stock ride height, you shouldn't have to roll the fenders, but you may have to every car is diff. And you will need to take a hammer to the wheel wells. I had about 5 minutes in each side making mine fit. No biggy. For 300.00 I would go for it. Theres over 400.00 in just tires there.

Another question. Would you think that these big of tires would be slowing me down at the track? The car is street/strip, go to the track maybe 10 times a summer or so. I plan on tune in the spring, but I'm guessing 370-400 rwhp cam only, but do plan on putting heads in next summer or so. Or with the price, you think I buy them, split the tires and get maybe 275s?
Thanks again,
Tom
Thanks again,
Tom

lol yeah i have a lot of plans for my car.. when $$$ is right. I went down today to help my brother move out. He lived on Crestwood i wanna say, moved to parkman by a bunch of churches. Anyhow, as we were clearing his stuff out i stumbled across his buddies tires is the garage and said he would sell them to me. Hes got a procharged 383 lt1, but has other plans for it and moving to texas. Maybe when the weather warms, we could go cruisin' as there aren't too many f-bodies in my area.
Well, I think for the money, I'm gonna buy them then, and see what i can do. Been researching since i got home, about adj panhard bar?, adj lcas?, etc. anything else youve done, to yours?
Thanks again

That would be cool! There are not too many F bodies around here. Mine, Triggers, SweeTbone, and a few others are about it here.
