The gsd3's compound is a pretty hard compound. In my case they did not give me traction. They did last pretty long (hard compound).

Fail. I said my 315's.

I guess they've jacked up the price since I bought mine.

I would say do what you think is best for yourself. I think that the guys who have the money to spend nearly $700 bucks on two tires are lucky bastards though. And if your talking bout tred life...its nearly the same...but when you can buy two sets of nittos for nearly $100 cheaper than 1 set of the Goodyears..it puts things in plain view. Good luck.

Is there a big difference between the 555 extreme performance and 555r drag radial hooking wise? Does anyone have experience with the GS/D3 vs. 555 extreme performance?? Big difference in price between the two, maybe the 555 ep are a good alternative to GS/D3 for price and performance???

i know its 2 different types of tires. but if the GSD3 look meaner and are better for everyday day driving and still can hook that would be my choice.

I currently have the GSD3s and don't like them. I had KDWs before and they hooked much better. I could barely get a 3rd gear chirp with the KDWs but I can get a good scratch going into 4th with these things! I will not buy them again.

I have the Goodyear F1 GS D3's on mine and I really like them. They're expensive as hell, but you get what you pay for in engineering. My car has always been high strung and really want's to swap ends due to no traction control on the car. It is the first time where I can really floor it with some confidence that it will stay straight.

The sidewall really helps alot in the vibration and smoothness of the tire. The also changed my car's personality. It tightened up the car.

They are not good when it really gets close to freezing temperatures. I don't drive in the rain.

the regular 555's would be a good bet and are much cheaper than the gy's.
i had the 555's on a mustand and when i got it it had dunlop 5000's and it lit up the tires in 1st 2nd and some of 3rd then with the nittos i would get a few chirps in 1st and that would be it.
i think you would be happy with the 555's and no regular tire will hook like a dr only a dr will.
