I don't see why you would even want to put a 315 on a 9" wheel, recommended or not. It's retarded. You will have a greater contact patch with a 11" wheel, and it won't only hook better, but it will look a lot better. 315 M/T's also suggest a 9" wheel, but they have A LOT more sidewall to play with versus a 25.6" tall 17" diameter tire.

i'm not putting 315's on my car i think it doesn't look good either i'd preffer a 295/40/17 but no one makes a DR in that size the 315 was an option just like the 295/45/17 M/T but that doesn't look good to me either so most likely i'll put the 275/40/17 Nittos i just figured it be nice to have some more traction and i don't want different rims

If he knew what he was talkin about he would already know what you have stated & know he will not gain any traction stuffing a 315 on a 9" wheel vs a good 275. It's been covered way too many times. But the new guys around here always know everything.

By the way, I'm bored at work here at the speed shop, so I just called my Hoosier rep (Hoosier Tire 574-784-3152) and he said there is a mis-print on their website, and they recommend nothing smaller than a 10" wheel for their HOO-17332 (315/35/17) tire, and he also pointed out that if you look on sites such as Summitracing.com or Jegs.com, they have the correct information listed there. He said they would get that straightened out asap.

LOL, well there is one more you can mark off the already extremely short list of 315's that can safely mount to a 9.5" rim.
