When compared to the NT05, yes. The NT555RII, like the NT05R and NT555R, utilizes a DOT approved R-compound.

I really like mine. I'm running the 295/45 18 nt05 and I hook pretty well rolling into it. I only did one dead stop run and they did pretty well just gone and barked second and kicked a little sideways. I love them, I may try the 05R's next depending on how much im driving at that time. And discount had awesome service, one of the install guys was a punk and would run his mouth but everyone else was very professional and did a great job at keeping me informed on what all was happening as it happened. Probably talked to them 3 times letting me know my tires were in, getting put on, and waiting for me to "take care of some business" lol. The manager is awesome in my book

Just ordered yesterday,
NT05 315/35/17 (a 315/40/17 like mentioned above would be nice)
NeoGen 225/50/17

Dealt with Earl on the phone, great to deal with and even held shipping till after the Holiday so they aren't sitting outside when I'm out of town.

What's the width in inches on a 295/45 18 nt05? I won't be with my car for a few days and im talking to my buddy how mine fit with a little bfh and he says it can't be done. A 10" tire is as wide as I can go. Thanks for any info.

Also mine did really well at the track a few weekends ago. It was sub 60 degrees and no spin off the line.

According to Nitto's spec sheet, their 295/45-18 NT05 is 11.46" in total section width. This size is also 28.46" tall.

OK so Im buying my first set of DR's for my camaro, I have ZR1 9.5" rims and have 275-40-17's on them and have a real spinning problem, 50mph and under just blow the tires off. Im wanting to know what the largest tire is that I can run. Im looking at the NT555's,NT05's and the NT555R's. Any feed back is appreciated. I am open to other brands as long as they hook up.
