Tire Recommendation
Tire Recommendation Hello guys. Well its getting to that time where new tires are needed. Im only looking into getting a very good street tire. Im was thinking about getting a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's, I heard these were a good tire, but need to know some opinons on them. Tire size was going to be 275/40/17. Thanks in advance.

i ran a 12.29 on those exact tires with 400 horse my first day at the track. i dont know of many street tires you can do that with. it was a 1.82 60 ft and i only stalled it up to like 2600-2800. Bear in mind, i cannot say the same for the street, but i think they are an excellent street tire.
Only thing I know about the Goodyears is that they are usually a pretty good tire but the same could be had for less. I moved from Goodyear to Toyo Proxes T1-S and have been impressed with them, especially in the wet. Khumos Ecstas have become a budget choice, I have not mounted them on my T/A yet but have driven with them in C6 vette and they hook pretty good.

With you living up north i would get the sumitomo HRT+ ultra high performance all season tires. I have ran Firestone/Goodyear/kumo/bfg and liked these the most. When i lived in Hawaii i ran the Sumitomo HTRZ II Ultra High Performance Summer and loved them too. But with me living in the Midwest i got those sumitomo HRT+ performance all seasons and they were great in clod weather/snow/ice!

Well this car does not see any snow what so ever. It is garaged kept in the winter and sees the occasional rain. Is a all season tire still the way to go in this case? I didnt think so, but correct me if im wrong.

well in that case get these. They hook up nice and tread water good! I ran them and i had around 10 other people get them with not one bad review!

those goodyears are good tires and long lasting too, when i bought my car it had a set of gs-d3's on it with 40k+. i mean they were down to like 4/32's all the way around, but still, no issues even then.
