Best tires?

Probably the best tire (or tyre) that you've never heard of would be the Vredstein Ultrac Sessanta. I had never heard of them until last summer when I was looking for new kicks. Tomzwheels had a deal running with the TTII's that I wanted and these tires. I was kind of unsure because I had never heard of them before. Then I looked for reviews online. You gotta look a little, but everybody loves them. They have great grip and a lot of supercars like to run them. I didn't get much of a chance to test them out last year before I put the car away for the winter, but they definitely look killer! They gripped great in corners for sure, and I will be testing them at the track at least once or twice this summer.
They were pretty cheap too! I haven't looked to buy them from other places, but they were $150 a tire or so IIRC, for 315's too!
Good luck with your tire choice though, there are plenty of good ones out there, I just like being different. Everyone is always asking me about the Vredstein's cause they've never seen them and everyone thinks they look sweet!

You can check them out here. And here are a couple pics of them on my car, sorry not great and she's quite filthy. It's in my garage right now and I just ran out and took them.

The wide oval really are nice in the rain! I mean really nice. I think the price/point of this tire is very good. I wouldn't mind getting a second set if I can ever get enough miles on my old ones

I've never had a problem doing it when I had to move my car around when it was colder out. Just remember that the tires won't grip nearly as well as when it's warmer out. So be prepared if you plan to do some spirited driving when it's cold out. Besides that, I don't see any problem with it. Of course up here in MI I don't like doing it anyways, cause if it's cold out, there is generally salt on the roads from the snow. Dang salt, I hate what it can do to vehicles!

I had BFG's on my Z28 when I bought it, they were pretty good, I'm fairly loyal to BFG's though i have them on my Jeep as well.
On my 18's I'm running Falken FK452 and am very very impressed with them, especially in the rain. not to mention their almost silent. great tires.

im pretty positive its opposite. summer tires will be louder than all seasons, of the same company. now of course lower brands will always be loud. you cant hear my michilins at all, even when i had stock exhaust and going well over 100, or cruising around 95.

I think Goodyear tires are good. or you can try Michelin tires..I find that they are on sale at sears.

I just bought 5 of these tires for 425$ on craigs list, they had less than 500 miles on them. I will find out soon if they are better than my cooper tires.

I've got Toyo Proxes on mine. They came on it when I bought the car, but I'm not very impressed. They have horrible traction on wet surfaces and dry traction is mediocre. The car is an A4 with 2.73s.
