Default BFG Comp TA or FS Firehawk?

I need new tires for my 2000 T/A Firehawk.
Stock size is 275/40/17, wheels are 17 x 9.

Since Firestone doesn't make the original Firehawks anymore, I'm trying to decide between Firestone Firehawk Wide Ovals & BFG Comp TAs.

(For dry performance only)

Anyone with either of these two tires (or any other tire), please give me your recommendations.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

I have the 285-40-17 wide ovals and they hook good. I can ease out in first gear then hammer down and they wont break loose. Of course they will still go up in smoke with a 3K clutch dump. Very nice tires.

Oops!!

Sorry. I mis-undertyped. I meant the BFG G-Force. My bad.

I'm swayed toward the Firestones because they are much cheaper with very similar ratings.

Thanks guys. Anyone else?

I just picked up the firestone wide ovals. I was up in the air between those and BFG KW's. I ended up picking the firestones b/c my friend got me a killer deal on them as he works for firestone. 100 bucks a tire installed and balance. I only drove the car home from getting them installed and it was pretty cold so I can not say how they hooked as I took it easy. I did see a guy on ebay selling the BFG KW's for $275 a pair plus shipping. Not sure if you would be interested in those.

Nothing yet. But on Tire Rack, the cheaper Firehawks get better dry traction reviews than the G-Force.

Probably the Firehawks.
