Default Will 245/45/17 tires fit 275/40/17 rims??

Will a 245/45/17 tire fit 275/40/17 rims cuz i might sell my rims and keep the tires... Also i have a silver car... Check signature.. but would you go chrome or black with a chrom lip? i like both...

Man you need to reword your question. We need to know your rim size and width. You have 2 tire sizes posted

My rim size is in bold... i know i have two different sizes cuz the 245/45/17 are my tires now.. tires only.. and the rims i want to buy are 275/40/17.. i want to know if the tires i have now will fit the new rims....

no dude... 17 is the diameter, we need to know the width. the tire size has nothign to do with the rim.

oh ok.. i think mine are 9 inches and the new rims i want are 9.5 inches

well technically it will fit, but it will be stretched pretty good and probably look pretty bad. whats wrong with the 275's? wider is always better!

nothing.. thats what i want but the tires i have now still have alot of tread on them...
