Default 2001/02 WS6 Wheels

Will the stock wheels from a 2001 WS6 Trans Am fit a 2002 WS6 Trans Am? I know some model years have different wheels, but don't know if 01 and 02 are interchangeable. Does anyone know?

Yes, all wheels from the 4th gen Camaros/Firebirds are interchangable.

Is this true? I thought the 2000 models had 16 inch wheels instead of 17's with different rims and offsets.

Are the spokes thinner or different between 01 and 02 or is it the exact same wheel? I'm trying to replace a single wheel, and I need them to look the same.

the ws6 wheels were all 17s. the reg TAs and v6 had same style, just in 16x8. Only other different wheel you will see is the speedline ws6 wheels, like the ones in my sig, which came on your 02 Ws6. there was also another ws6 wheel that was ugly, but that don;t matter here, haha

Even though they are diff sizes, all factory 4th gen wheels fit any 4th gen

I guess what I am really asking is:

Are the 01 and 02 WS6 wheels identical?

No. I believe there are 3 different styles. The ones mentioned in the sig above.

Ones that look like this.

http://www.lakeshorewheelandtire.com...bird-ws6.shtml (the 17X9's)

And ones that look like this

http://www.marshu.com/ws6-firebird-t...ad-shooter.php

There also base model 16"ers but you ask about WS6's. Any of those 3 could be on an 01-02 WS6.

Thanks!

From looking at the first link you provided, it appears to me that there is another wheel not pictured. The spokes on my 2002 WS6 wheels look like they might be just a tad wider and flatter and have a dip in the center of them, that none of the ones on that link do. They are polished, and clear coated. They look closest to the one at the far right, except the spokes appear to me to be a little wider.

I'm thinking that the spoke might be the slightly difference between the 01 and 02 wheels.

The ones on my 2002 WS6 are Speedline (9J) 17 inch.

Mine look like this:

Now compare the look and shape of the spokes of that wheel to this one and I think you will see what I mean.

Unless I am mistaken, this means the 2002 WS6 wheels are unique from all other years, at least in appearance anyway.

Speedline WS6 wheels came on all 02s, and some 01s. Some 01s got the wheels like 98-00.

I am pretty sure the 01 and 02 wheels are different. The 02's have that slightly curved 5 spoke look like in the picture above. The 01 wheels are more of just a 5 spoke wheel. The 01's go from thick to thinner from the center cap out.

I had to order an OEM 01 WS6 for my car as one was bent when I got the car. The wheel code is in the door code list. I think there are a few different ones for each year. I know there are two for sure for the 01. They may be the same but I think you could either get a gray finish or a polished finish. The best way to match them is by looking at the codes.

Th 96-00 wheels, flat spoke 17s, came on a few "select" 2002 WS6 cars(read CETA)

Look at the link below. Other than the Firehawk wheels and the 30th/35th Anniversary cars there were FOUR different styles of LS1 WS6 wheels
http://www.tacreationsusa.com/firebird_wheels.htm

Grey Flat spoke 17s
Polished flat spoke 17s
Speedline 17s
Salad Shooter style 17s

See pics below as well

Thats what I was afraid of, but haven't been able to confirm. I've been told by another source that the spokes between the 01 and 02 are not the same, and that is what I am trying to confirm so I can make sure I get the right ones.

Here is a photo of the 02 WS6 wheel I am looking for:

And here is the one I find of the 01 wheel.

Is it my imagination, or do the spokes look slightly different on the 02 wheel?

The spokes aren't different. Both those wheels are the same... 2001.5-2002 WS6 wheels. 17" High Polished Aluminum, with a clear coat.

If your WS6 came with salad shooters I would KEEP THEM!! Regardless if you think they are ugly, they didnt make very many at all and they will be worth some HUGE money in a few years.

Personally I like the 02 model WS6 wheels the best.
