Before you go trying to buy a new one you should check out how much it would be for wheel repair. Though, ruffs are fairly cheap it may be cheaper just to buy a new one. Still, I say check out how much it would be to repair.

No curb rash yet and I would not drive my car if I curb checked a rim, I would get a new rim or fix the old one ASAP.

Yeah, I have some nasty curb rash on my right front wheel, from not paying attention pulling up in front of a buddy's house last fall. It sucks, but just something that's going to happen on a DD. I'll be pissed if I **** up one of my deep dish C5's after I get them though.

I go to parties every once in awhile at my friend's sister's house and they have some wicked curbs over there. I have some rash on the passenger side wheels from that crap.

It will help to make sure the tires you buy have the extra rubber that covers the edge of the wheel or the "rim protector" to prevent minor curb rash.

I've noticed people without these types of tires have more curb rash than people that do.
