Just got my SS 10 spoke wheels back from Weldcraft, going to do a step by step install with needed mods to a 2000SS camaro for putting on 315's. Most peope use a 11" wide wheel for 315's, I have went with 10.5" witch is the recommended mim rim for nitto NT-05's that are going on. Stay tuned!
Before everyone starts on me for spending the money to do this with a stock set of wheels, I am into the sleeper, stock looking car deal.

I took everything apart a couple of weeks ago I decided that I would like to get them powder coated. I should be picking them up in a day or. Going to a shade darker on the color, a light grey. will post up new pics when I get them back with the fresh NT05's streched on.
OH yea, another reason I took them apart, was I wanted them to be hub centric so I machined a jig that centered the 1/2" spacer perfectly on the wheel and welded the spacer to the wheel for corrected back spacing, smoothed the weld so it looks like the spacer was a part of the wheel for a clean look, another reason for getting them powder coated. The 1/2" spacer was perfect, only mod needed to fit the 315's, was to to roll the fender lip to make sure nothing rubbed, I will snap some pic's with the tires on inside the wheel well so you can see what kind of clearance you have to work with. you will need to go with a longer set of APR wheel studs
Sorry guys forgot about this thread, will have pic's up next week of the wheels before and after the tires get put back on.

i think this would be nice to do to a set of firehawk rims, but they would need to be rechromed , you will have over 1000 to have the rears widened rechromed and the fronts rechromed to match .

No! This was one of the reasons I went with 10.5" and not 11" the 1/2 inch makes a ton of difference in clearance. and if you check the mim rim requirements 10.5 is acceptable for 315-35 nittos NT05's and 555's the only time the tire gets close is when you have it hanging on the shocks. One of the original pictures I posted shows the relationship to the bump stop and the edge of the rim. You must have a adjustable PHB to center everything up. also a good idea is to reposition your mounting location to correct the roll center. I changed the body mounting location to correct it after I lowered the car. Ryan over at UMI made me a custom length PHB for me because it ended up a little bit shorter that stock length. You can see it in one of the original pictures also that I posted.

Nice job, I never knew this could be done. I'm just like you more into the "sleeper" look. Doing the spacer & longer wheels studs i wouldn't mind, I just don't want to get into rolling the fender lip.
