In the opening paragraph in the first post, it says that it was done by Weldcraft, who has done a lot of the wheel widening for guys on here.

Man I have been gone for a while huh? LOL
All, Sorry for the lack of rear shots and further info but as LeeDogg stated I have been quite busy. If anyone has questions please feel free to shoot me an email at dwsconcepts@comcast.net.

After widening/ before powdercoating

Recent shots

Rears are slightly wider then the 315/35/17 I had on 17x11 ZR1s. Tires are 305/30/19s

Couple questions because I am planning on doing this. Did you have to use spacers after the widening and if so, what brand did you use? Also, do you have any pictures of the inner portion of the rim that is visible with the welds smoothed?

Thanks!!

The welds on the inside looked like the ones in the first pic, not smooth as glass but not a huge bumb and trashy. I did not have to add spacers with the addition of the 1 1/2". If I would have done 2 or more I would have had to add spacers and trim the wheelwell. Right now I have no clearence issues on the inside of the well or the well lip. Hope that helps. I would recommend Weldcraft to anyone, quality work and perfectly balanced.

Thanks for the info, I have 17x9.5 rims that have a positive 44MM offset and I am planning on having them widened by 1". I'm just curious if I'm gonna have to run a spacer.

I know I'm reviving a dying/dead thread, but it's something I'm considering doing as well.

So it was ~$500 to have both wheels widened and for shipping. Not too bad, considering the cost of options of 19x11 wheels.

Do you remember what size allen bolts you bought? Something I may consider doing to mine.
