i was one of the first people on here to run the 315/35/17 toyo proxes. they are a great tire and they do hook in the dry and do well in the rain.

they hook better then the nittos but not as well as the mickeys...they are better in the rain then the nittos and the mickeys...do to their tread. they wearout faster then the nittos.

i did not put the bf drag radials on here because i never used them but i would say these have to be better then those

that all sounds great, but when you say they wear faster, how many miles did you get out of them? i think i got about 9-10k out of my nittos before.

Do these work with a 10.5" wheel? How are these for barreling down the highway, not just straight lines?

Thanks man, great review.

I haven't had any issues. The sidewalls are a little bit softer, but I can still have some some fun going around a corner. I mean, I wouldn't take them auto crossing, but they are by no means dangerous.

Glad you enjoyed the review.

I think he's saying that if the tires are directional, it's possible to mount them backwards. Otherwise, they wouldn't be directional.

Alright cool. Not to sound stupid, but I do enjoy flying down the highway (like a jackass, I know) and I wouldn't even want to imagine the back tires sliding out.

Where could I get the best price on these tires?

thought i should add to my experience after driving my 18 315s toyos in the rain the last 2 days..
first day i took it out drove normally staying within speed limits never going past half throttle or 3k rpm and they worked great like street tires. felt confident enough that i took the fwy. on the way back i got caught in light rain and again no spinning whatsoever.

second day going to work i had my fun going about half throttle and spinign all through first and second with a bit more gas.. few tail slides too

all i can say they have better traction in the rain then my bfg kdws 275s with at least 80% of life left in them. i have heard that 275 is better in the rain because its easier for the tire to move water out of the way compared to 315s.

Bringin this thread up. I just ordered some TQ's and waiting on OEWheels to release the wheels I want in a few weeks. I'm currently on Eibach Pro Kit, everything else stock, but plan to put my old Hotchkis springs back on soon. Will a 315/35/18 on a 10.5 require fender rolling?

im gonna be ordering some this month as well, big o tires wanted 360 mounted and balanced for 275's. told him they were 300 for two online and he said shipping, mounting and balancing would add to that but hed come down some for me to kinda match it...so i think im gonna try to push for 345...cant wait to try these out!

On a lowered car, it would be a good idea to roll your fenders. Its going to be really tight. These tires are WIDE.

With everything you have listed in your signature, these things will do well with your set up.

The only person I can remember saying anything bad about these tires was Trust. He was making A LOT of power though. I think people making less than 500rwhp should be happy with these for the street. Of course MT's are going to be better at hooking, but they are scary as hell if you get stuck in some rain. I have said it, and will say it again, Toyo DR's are the best daily driver drag radial out there.

thats great to here, it took me a while to decide between these and the old nitto's but im def going with the toyo's now. when the car is paid off ill buy an extra set of wheels for some MT's and use normal street tires. till then though gotta stick with the happy medium
